chickens and mosquitos

this summer has been exhausting so far....
-wedding
-honeymoon
-work
-trying to keep up with living in my own place
-spending time as a new couple
there hasn't been anything too exciting that has happened lately besides going to minnesota to visit my sister for the weekend. that was a ton of fun. we spent the weekend on her farm; riding the 4-wheeler, having a bonfire, going to the mall of america, chasing the chickens, petting the calves, climbling the corn bins, and also holding kittens. it was a great time to relax with family... and showing my farm girl self. i will try to keep up with my boring life now that i am back to work 24-7....

ok... so maybe i have been really fricken busy lately. but alas, a new post.
what has happened since my last post:

• wrote a few papers, took a few tests, make a big book (its in the library if you want to see it)
• locked my keys in my car in the middle of the blizzard while it was still running
• got lost on the way to jack's wedding
• made some plans to go to new york city for my honeymoon
• got an apartment
• gave blood
• other things that wouldn't be of interest to you

i have probably lost all respect from all of you who blog regularly, so hopefully i don't loose my audience.... if so... hello to the lonely world....

new year.... new smells....

what has happened so far this year?
- worked a ton
- started school again
- connected with my long lost love
- did some more planning for my wedding
- hung out with some of the coolest people i know, my friends
- become overwelmed with homework again

overall thing are great... and i am glad to be back. i hope this semester passes fast! only good things to come!

i am pretty sure i over react in so many different ways to homework. for the past long while, i thought that by the end of this week i was going to surely die, but life is good. there are so many things that i forget to look at and then realize that i don't have it so bad. i have coffee in my mug and friends by my side.... and the next few moments to get something done.... i think i will take advantage of the time i have after lunch to take a nap.... that will surely give me more motivation...

happy st. nicholas day everyone! i never knew what that was until i received a stocking full of goodies from my friend dan. everyone should celebrate it....

.... Thanksgiving was great.... time with family, time at work, time to relax, and most importantly, time with myself. I think that was the most relaxing weekend that I have even had.... mmmm.... goodwill.....

BUT..... this is much more exciting!

SNOW!!!! it the most beautiful thing that I have seen in a very long time. The crisp whiteness it piled everywhere.... I didn't want to go play in the snow... but I couldn't help it... I love my wet socks....

21 days.....

gift was very refreshing tonight.... remembering that we must be thankful for the little things in our lives.... i wrote phones... they are what save me right now.... they kill the feeling of whatever i don't have.....
